Technical Sales Executive

The Technical Sales Executive works with customers to provide advanced enterprise level solutions to their complex information storage and workflow management problems. The Sales Executive will be responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle, including planning/forecasting, prospecting, relationship management and closing. Through development and execution of a sales strategy, the Technical Sales Executive will meet/exceed targets while assisting our client's with its rapid market expansion goals. The Sales Executive will identify and develop the most compelling opportunities for our client's technologies in the well-recognized Academic, Government and Biotech markets that are on the on the cutting edge regarding technology adoption. You should be able to handle strong prospect development activities calling on senior CIO/CTO prospects as well as potential hands-on end-users of the applications to qualify interest.

The successful candidate will have excellent customer facing skills, combined with a strong technical aptitude and experience in the Life Sciences market. They will thrive in a high pressure, competitive and dynamic environment with an overwhelming drive to succeed.

You should possess:

¥ Strong knowledge of the scientific research, pharmaceutical, or education marketplace (related experience in PLM, PDM, or other related fields also acceptable)
¥ Experience selling enterprise level software solutions and services (over $150K average sale)
¥ Demonstrable sales success (proven by commission statements, earnings, etc.)
¥ No more than three jobs in eight years
¥ Experience in or desire to work in a startup environment -- one requiring the wearing of many hats!

Responsibilities

¥ Identify the most compelling opportunities for our client's technologies in the major Academic, Government and Biotech markets
¥ Develop and implement a sales strategy to capitalize on this market opportunity
¥ Identify strategic partnership opportunities to enhance our client'sÕ profile, market share and product offerings
