Position: Sr. Account Executive

Location: Northern California, Illinois or Ohio

Our client is a fast-growing B2B software analytics company whose SAAS product helps Marketing, Sales, Finance and Knowledge Management professionals ensure they never miss critical events impacting their industry, company and business. Our client's patented semantic categorization technology instantly cuts through the clutter of consumer Web content, delivering only highly relevant content from the Business Web to individuals, teams or whole enterprises. Customers include leading financial platforms such as Fidelity.com and Capital IQ, business information platforms such as D&B, and many of the world's leaders in technology, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and finance such as Pfizer, HP, Lenovo, Dow Chemical, Cisco, and State Street.

Our client is seeking candidates who possess a strong track selling enterprise level business information or related SaaS solutions such as Autonomy or Endeca. Ideal candidates will include a strong hunter track record delivering above quota performance at a high growth company and experience selling content or information services. Qualified candidates must show a track record of penetrating Fortune 100 accounts.

This is a direct sales position, supported by a technical support staff. You will be compensated for new business and new customer development. Position Responsibilities:

Develop a territory plan and coordinate with marketing to efficiently penetrate the territory
Continuously build pipeline and achieve quarterly booking targets
Drive sales cycles focused on new business, and up selling within existing clients
Coordinate resources across the company to support winning an opportunity
Maintain salesforce.com leads, opportunities & accounts for accurate reporting
Work with client services to ensure solutions are deployed beyond the client's expectation
Contribute to the ongoing culling of best practices as the business scales
Work closely with management to apply resources effectively.

Candidate Requirements:

10+ years of enterprise sales experience with a track record exceeding quota
Experience managing complex sales cycles encompassing both business problem/solution and political navigation with executive level sponsors
Track record of over-achieving quota by delivering new customers
Energetic, self-motivated, person who wants to seize the earning potential
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Comfortable selling a technology based solution
Excellent relationship building skills
